Whether by choice or circumstance, life is full of difficult changes and transitions
entrepreneurship can often make it extra hard to navigate transitions, taking a heavy toll on our relationships at home and at work.
There transitions they often mean venturing beyond familiar boundaries and finding your footing in unknown territory, bringing up fear and all its consequences
self-doubt
You may question your decisions, your abilities, your feelings and intuitions
fight, flight, freeze
The automatic human response to fear and uncertainty can deeply affect relationships, communication, boundary-setting and follow-though
disconnection
The stress this can put on relationships can lead to increasing isolation from the people you care about, and from your own needs, feelings, and intuitions
dark & unmoving
The overwhelm of confusing emotions, difficult choices and straining relationships can lead to deep frustration, vicious cycles, feelings of hopelessness, and staying stuck
But what if we could change all that?
What if you could connect with your grounded self again and learn, practice and embody the skills you need to confidently navigate difficult changes with grace and resilience?
what if you could…
Surround yourself with the healing power of animals, nature and community, away from the familiar settings where you feel stuck
Reconnect with your body, learn how to listen to, trust and discern your physical sensations, emotions and thoughts
Practice guiding your nervous system from a state of stress to grounded and relaxed
Go beyond learning and actually practice and embody new skills with expert guidance
Learn to use different approaches to leading and navigating changes depending on the needs of the situation
Learn how to recognize and shift away from what’s keeping you stuck and innefective, and into a state where you can actually make positive, effectual choices
Practice the skills of setting limits, communicating and connecting to people you care about through authenticity and mutual respect
Benefit from the shared experience of an intimate group of people who are all dealing with transitions
Lead your business and your life through challenging transitions with confidence

FAQs
-
An equine retreat is a transformative experience that combines personal development, therapeutic activities, and interactions with horses to facilitate growth, learning, and healing.
This retreat provides participants, particularly women navigating life and business transitions, with a unique opportunity to connect with horses in a safe and supportive environment while gaining valuable insights and skills to navigate their journey of change.
Through a series of guided exercises, discussions, and hands-on interactions with horses, participants explore themes such as self-awareness, communication, resilience, and empowerment, ultimately fostering personal and professional growth.
-
Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL) has been shown to offer important benefits for learning socio-emotional and leadership skills.
Horses are masters at giving feedback. As prey animals, they use their senses to evaluate threat or safety and can tell if a person or animal is present and expressing authenticity. This gives participants an opportunity to practice in real time how to set boundaries, make a connection without judgment, and lead from your heart.
-
No, we are not riding the horses. All experiences are done on the ground so you do not need any prior horse experience at all!
-
We find that getting away from the usual stresses of day-to-day life and into a beautiful setting assists our participants to feel the difference physically and emotionally.
Our facility—Green Acres Horse Farm—combines a beautiful equine setting with the beauty of the Jersey Shore.
-
We want people to learn skills that they can use in their life when they finish. This is not just a getaway but an opportunity to understand the process of transitions and come away with insight and tools to help them manage the changes.
-
Practice transitioning your nervous system from stressed to relaxed
Practice skills of setting limits, connecting to people you care about through authenticity and mutual respect
